Northeast Farrier Supply came into existence in December of 1986 when Mary Jo and Bill Clark bought Madow Farrier Supply, closed it, packed it up and moved it to Winsted Ct. It was reopened one month later, in January, as Northeast Farrier Supply.

The business has grown and evolved over the years. From 50lb cases of shoes to 10 and 15 pair boxes, from one shape shoes to front and hinds, lefts and rights, plain or clipped; from 5 city head nails to slim blades, to E head nails and then to slim E head nails - in 4 different brands; from frost knives to how many different knives now - and the list just keeps going on and on.

As these changes were evolving so was Northeast Farrier Supply. Walls moved, computers changed, software changed and people changed. But thru all of this evolving and change one thing has remained constant, our commitment to provide the best possible service to you, our customer. That will never change.

This web site is one more step in the evolving process. I was amazed at the scope of the process we became involved in just trying to get it up and running. I'm sure that you will help us find many (we hope not too many) mistakes - errors - or what ever you might care to call them. We really need your help in cleaning things up and get it running smoothly. I keep telling my Grand Kids that they are dragging me kicking and screaming into the 20th Century - and we haven't even started thinking about the 21st.

Thanks to all of you that have helped and supported us over the last 24 years; we wouldn't be here without you. We are looking forward to the next 24 with great interest - who knows what's in store for all of us?
